With the help of on-load switches, these rigid distribution transformers are converted into regulating transformers that maintain a stable voltage in public, industrial and private distribution networks. They compensate for fluctuations in the medium voltage and react dynamically to changes in supply and load at the low-voltage level.

This not only opens up new possibilities for power supply companies, but industrial companies or operators of wind and solar power plants also benefit from distribution network transformers that are regulated with on-load switches (which can be manufactured with up to 17 positions).
